Recently, Sinopec Capital completed the investment in Shanghai Hilong Shine New Materials Co., Ltd. as the lead investor. A number of well-known domestic investors also participated in the investment.

Hilong Shine New Materials is an industrial heavy-duty anti-corrosion new material supplier engaged in both R & D and production. With oil and gas (OCTG) anti-corrosion, high-end heavy-duty coatings and applications, informationization of industrial corrosion assessment as its core business segments, Hilong Shine New Materials has built 19 production bases and business branches, spreading across China, the United States, Russia, the Middle East, and other countries and regions. As a national "little giants" firm（specialized and sophisticated enterprises that produce new and unique products）, Hilong Shine New Materials owns more than ten key technologies, has obtained more than 75 invention patents, and participated in the drafting and formulation of a number of domestic anticorrosive coating standards.

Sinopec Capital’s investment in Hilong Shine New Materials will effectively develop the synergies between Sinopec Group and Hilong Shine New Materials in the development, industrial testing and commercialization of technologies such as EOR (oil and gas production enhancement) and related oilfield chemicals, new coating materials, high-performance functional resins and curing agents, clean energy materials, and ultra-high-temperature/fire-resistant coating materials. It will also help to improve the stability of Sinopec Group's industrial chain and increase the localization rate.
