Sinopec Capital Further Expands into Lithium-ion Battery Value Chain Through Investment in Shandong TNM

On May 8, Sinopec Capital invested in Shandong Tsaker New Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Shandong TNM”), further expanding into the field of upstream materials for lithium-ion battery.

Wholly owned by Tsaker Chemical Group Limited (HK.1986) before this round of investment, Shandong TNM is engaged in R & D and production of high-end, green and environment-friendly products. It has the largest capacity in China of "one-step" iron phosphate production which has realized the comprehensive utilization of resources without generating any waste gas, wastewater, solid waste or by-products during the production process. Its main product, high-performance anhydrous iron phosphate, can be processed into lithium iron phosphate, the cathode material for lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. LFP battery is widely used in new energy vehicles and energy storage due to its advantages of high-safety and low-cost.
