Recently, Sinopec Capital invested in Guangdong Alison HI-TECH Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Alison), expanding industrial layout in the field of energy conservation and environmental protection. This round of investment was jointly completed by Sinopec Capital and other well-known institutional investors, with a total amount of investment of more than 100 million yuan.

 Established in 2007, Alison has been committed to the independent research and development of aerogel material and its core production facilities for a long time, and is a “little giant” firm in Guangdong Province, the largest aerogel material large-scale production leader in China and the second in the world. At present, Alison has the capability to independently develop its own core equipment and large-scale production capacity of aerogel and aerogel composite materials. Its technological breakthrough and industrial applications in the field of aerogel are important strategic support for China to reduce carbon emission and achieve the goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.

 Aerogel is called “the magic material that can change the world”, and it is the solid thermal insulation material with the lowest thermal conductivity and density known so far, which can be used in the thermal insulation and cooling scenarios from -196°C to 1200°C. As a national strategic new material, aerogel has a wide range of application in the field of energy conservation and environmental protection, and can be used as an ideal thermal insulation material in many scenarios such as petrochemical, aerospace, new energy automobile and construction building materials. With the breakthrough of Chinese enterprises in aerogel material production technology in the past ten years or so, China has now become the world's top aerogel producer and consumer.

The aerogel material products of Alison can effectively reduce the heat loss of various oil and gas pipelines of Sinopec Group, and have good synergy effect with Sinopec Group in energy conservation and environmental protection, which will help Sinopec Group achieve the goal of energy saving and carbon reduction effectively.
