Beijing, Aug. 2020, Sinopec-- Sinopec Capital announced its investment in Fengyang Guigu Intelligence Co. (Guigu Intelligence), with deployment in new energy and materials by investing in ultra-thin photovoltaic and photoelectric glass value chain.

Since the beginning of this year, Sinopec Group has been committed to the growth pattern featured with one foundation of energy resources, two wings of clean energy and synthetic materials, and three growth points of new energy, new economy and new areas. The investment in Guigu Intelligence, as alignment with Sinopec’s vision of building a world-leading clean energy and chemical company, has integrated financial investment with significant industrial synergy, contributing to another big step of Sinopec Group in new energy, new material and new area.

Guigu Intelligence is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Changzhou Almaden Co., Ltd., mainly engaged in manufacturing ultra-thin photovoltaic glass sheet and specialty photoelectric glass sheet used for display. The Company plays a crucial role in supplying photovoltaic and photoelectric glass in China. At present, Guigu Intelligence is stepping up its special photoelectric glass projects, including 3 grass-root production lines with daily melting capacity of 650 tonnes for each, and 20 smart finishing production lines. Once all 3 lines are put into operation, the full annual production capacity will reach 100 million square meters. According to the company, the first line was put into operation in April 2020.

Since its establishment in July 2018, Sinopec Capital has been focusing on five new areas, including new energy, new material, advanced smart manufacturing, energy conservation and environmental protection，big data and artificial intelligence, and has worked with a number of partners through strategic investments and cooperation.
