On March 21^st, the seventh session of the Sinopec Capital Forum was held, during which Stephen Roach, Senior Fellow at Yale University’s Jackson Institute of Global Affairs, Senior Lecturer at Yale’s School of Management, and former Chairman and Chief Economist of Morgan Stanley Asia, delivered a speech titled Truce, Trade War, or Cold War 2.0?

Roach first probed into the internal contradictions in China and the US and their balance of power, different landscapes of innovation, and respective challenges. He elaborated on the interdependence between the two nations, and came out with several solutions to the trade war. Meanwhile, he also answered questions raised by employees present.

The event was attended by staff from Party Affairs and Employee Relations Department, Development Planning Department, Strategic Business Unit of Capital Management and Financial Services, Board Secretary Bureau, and Finance Department of Sinopec Group as well as the Finance Department of Sinopec Corp.
