On April 19^th and 20^th, to commemorate the second anniversary of the establishment of the Xiongan New Area and to better implement requirements laid out by Dai Houliang, Chairman and Secretary of Party Leadership Group of Sinopec Group, during his visit to Sinopec Capital, Party members, active Party membership applicants, and cadres from the Party Committee of Sinopec Capital and Party branches of Board Secretary Bureau and Strategic Business Unit of Capital Management and Financial Services went to Xiongan for a jointly held Party Day event.

Comrade Huang Wensheng gave a Party lecture titled “Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind in a Tireless Struggle” in the company’s Xiongan office. By studying the accounts of interviews with Comrade Sheng Huaren, the lecturer walked attendees through the hard work of Sinopec Group in the past 35 years, and urged everyone to “locate the original aspiration” from its history. By studying the wishes expressed by Chairman Dai Houliang at the unveiling ceremony of the Strategic Business Unit of Capital Management and Financial Services on June 28^th, 2018, and his requirements for Sinopec Capital laid out on February 24^th this year during his visit to Xiongan, the lecturer asked all the attendees to resolutely implement the strategies made by the Party Leadership Group of Sinopec Group and seize the chance for growth and entrepreneurship, and called on everyone to “remain committed to the original aspiration.” The lecturer also recalled how he was astonished and shocked to see Comrade Chen Junwu: though in his nineties, Academician Chen still “has the wish to run a thousand miles” and is concerned about major issues such as energy security and development of petroleum and petrochemical industries in China. The attendees were encouraged to learn from Chen and to “act on the original aspiration” with decades of devotion.
