Sinopec, Thailand’s MOC Sign MOU on Cooperation

On March 26, Sinopec and Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce (MOC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Bangkok to enhance cooperation in non-fuel product promotion and market expansion. Zhao Dong, Board Director and President of Sinopec, and Keerati Rushchano, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties under the witness of H.E. Phumthum Wechayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the MOC, and Ms. Zhang Xiaoxiao, Counsellor of Chinese Embassy to Thailand.

The MOU paves the way for the two sides in enhancing trade and investment exchanges and  seeking joint opportunities based on win-win and mutually beneficial format. This collaborative effort aims to introduce high-quality Thai and Chinese non-fuel products to each other's markets, offering more premium options to enrich people's lives in both countries.

On December 29, 2022, Sinopec (Hong Kong) Limited and Thailand's SUSCO Dealers Co., Ltd. signed an equity acquisition agreement to jointly expand the refined products market in Thailand.
